Sarkordie is Africa’s most decorated Artist with over 106 music Awards both National and International.

He is currently the richest Rapper on the Continent with a net worth of $15m surpassing South Africa’s AKA who is worth $12million. Sarkodie has the highest Album sales as a Rapper in AFrica.

Sarkodie also has the highest Number of YouTube views as a Rapper in AFrica

218+ Million Views, Sarkodies’ Adonia is the most streamed and viewed African rap song of all times on all streaming platforms 79.48Million Views YouTube.

Michael Owusu Addo (born July 10, 1988) known professionally as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur from Tema. His contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade”. He was announced the first winner of BET’s Best International Flow artist at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards. He is also considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance and one the most successful African rappers of all time.

Sarkodie was born on 10 July 1988 and raised in koforidua,Tema and is the fourth born of five children. He attended Tema Methodist Day Senior High School and proceeded to IPMC, where he earned a degree in graphic design. Sarkodie began his music career as an underground rapper, participating in Adom FM’s popular rap competition Kasahare Level. He met his former manager Duncan Williams of Duncwills Entertainment while participating in the aforementioned competition. He also met musicians Edem and Castro, who introduced him to Hammer of The Last Two, an established record producer. Impressed by his rap flows, Hammer allowed Sarkodie to record two tracks for Edems maiden album Volta Regime.

Sarkodie married Tracy in a private wedding ceremony held in Tema, Ghana on 17 July 2018. They have two kids; a daughter, Adalyn Owusu Addo and a son; Micheal Nana Yaw Owusu Addo Jnr. who is named after the famous rapper.

Shatta Wale set to launch ride-hailing service, Shatta Taxi (Shaxi)

Reggae/Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has announced he will be launching his own ride hailing service dubbed Shaxi.

‘Shaxi’ short for Shatta Taxi, he revealed, is part of efforts he is making to provide jobs for some of the youths in various communities.

Taking to Twitter, the ‘Melissa’ hitmaker wrote, “Shatta Movement fans are going to be employed. The youth are going to be employed, the street [boys] are going to be employed, yes we all can play a role in reducing the unemployment rate. It’s coming #SHAXI.”

In another post, Shatta Wale urged persons interested in joining the service to prepare to apply for jobs in his new company.

The ‘My Level’ hitmaker assured that the drivers who work for his company will “enjoy” their work.

Shatta Wale stated that the new initiative, which he believes is revolutionary, will help every driver earn more money as they deserve to.

“To all my drivers always complaining about being cheated on, don’t worry, I get good news for y’all. You are about to enjoy your work as drivers. SHAXI gotcha covered, it’s taking us time to get everything right. And finally we are ready,” he wrote. [SIC]

Taking to social media, many Ghanaians applauded Shatta Wale for the efforts he is making to ensure the unemployed youth are gainfully employed.

Father surprises Mr Eazi as stars join to celebrate His 30th birthday

‘Welcome to Eazi’s Jungle’ is the first inscription to greet patrons who thronged Kozo, an open space restaurant located at West Airport where musician Mr Eazi’s celebrated his 30th birthday celebration with family and friends.

The event saw notable names such as his girlfriend Temi Otedola, Kwesi Arthur, Kwamina Mp, actor Adjetey Anang, Micheal Dappah, musician Efya, French Ambassador to Ghana Anne Sophie Avé, Bola Ray, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Tanya Sam among a host of others.

The surprise of the night was the father of the musician who flew in from the US to share in the joy of his son.

He believes his son is destined for greater things ahead and that “his ministry has just begun,” he added.

Known in real life as Oluwatosin Ajibade, Mr Eazi, is a Ghana-based Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur

He is the pioneer of Banku Music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns.
